Gruber Pallets sells inspected, graded used wood pallets to businesses across the Twin Cities metro. Whether you need a truckload of Grade A GMA 48×40s or a mixed Grade B run, we stock what you need and deliver it fast — same-week on most orders. Family-owned and operating in Minnesota since 1986.
What Are Used & Refurbished Pallets?
Used pallets are standard wood pallets that have completed one or more shipping cycles and been returned, sorted, and inspected for reuse. Refurbished (or reconditioned) pallets take that a step further — broken boards and blocks are replaced so the pallet meets the original spec before it ships again.
Both options deliver real cost savings versus new pallets — typically 30–50% less — without sacrificing the strength and load capacity your operation requires when they're properly graded.
Pallet Grades We Carry
- Grade A (Premium Used) — Like-new condition. No broken boards, solid blocks/stringers, consistent dimensions. Best choice for automated warehouses, rack storage, and product display.
- Grade B (Standard Used) — Minor cosmetic wear, surface stains, or small repairs. Structurally sound. Ideal for internal warehouse moves, storage, and one-way outbound loads.
- Refurbished / Reconditioned — Grade B pallets repaired to Grade A spec. Broken deckboards and stringers replaced. Inspected to GMA standards before delivery.
Common Sizes in Stock
- 48×40" — GMA standard. The most common pallet in North America.
- 48×42" — Paint, chemical, and automotive industry standard.
- 48×48" — Drum pallets, warehouse storage.
- 40×40" — Dairy, beverage, retail.
- Other sizes available — call or request a quote for non-standard dimensions.
Who Buys Used Pallets in the Twin Cities?
Businesses with internal moves, staging areas, or outbound loads that don't need brand-new pallets every cycle. Our used pallet customers include:
- Food and beverage manufacturers (General Mills, Cargill suppliers)
- Medical device and healthcare distributors
- Retail distribution centers and 3PLs
- Construction materials and building supply companies
- Small manufacturers and fabricators who buy in quantities of 50–500
- Businesses transitioning from pallet pooling (CHEP return) to buy-and-keep
Our Quality Standard
Every used pallet we sell goes through a physical inspection before it ships. We pull weak decks, reject pallets with rot or pest damage, and flag anything that won't hold a standard 2,500 lb. static load. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.
We're not a broker. We inspect and sort pallets ourselves, in our own facility. That's how we control quality — and why our customers trust us to not send them a bad load.

Get a QuoteFrequently Asked Questions
Are used pallets safe for food-grade applications?
Grade A used pallets in clean condition can meet FDA requirements for many food-adjacent applications. If you need heat-treated or chemically-clean pallets for direct food contact, we offer those options as well. Mention your application when requesting a quote.
What's the difference between Grade A and Grade B?
Grade A pallets are like-new — tight boards, solid stringers, clean surface. Grade B pallets are structurally sound but may have surface staining, minor board gaps, or cosmetic wear. Both carry standard loads safely; Grade A is better for automated systems and customer-facing use.
What is the minimum order for used pallets?
We work with customers starting at 50 pallets. Truckload quantities (500–600 pallets) receive the best per-unit pricing.
Do you buy used pallets?
Yes. If you have a surplus of used pallets to sell or want to arrange a pallet recycling pickup, see our pallet disposal page or contact us directly.
How quickly can you deliver to the Twin Cities?
Most in-stock orders ship within 3–5 business days. Rush orders may be available depending on inventory. Call us to confirm lead time for your specific need.
